Application and Instructions

Application forms may be obtained from the Newark Memorial High School career counseling department or your counselor. Your application should include the following things:

(1)  A completed Application Form with the following information:

Your Name

Email Address

Phone Number

Intended area of study

The name of the college or university that you will be attending

(2)  Two written essays — these are the same essays required by the high school.

(3)  A recommendation letter from a teacher in your intended field of study. You may include a second letter of recommendation from another teacher, a coach, an employer, or another supervisor. Providing a second recommendation letter is optional.

(4)  A current high school transcript.

(5)  A copy of a letter of acceptance from a 4-year or 2-year college (this can be submitted at a later date if not available by the April 9 deadline).


Submit these items to Pete Rich at Newark Memorial High School no later than 5:00 pm on Tuesday, April 9, 2024.

Incomplete applications and applications received after this deadline will not be considered.
