The Robert N. Walton Scholarship is offered to graduating students from Newark Memorial High School in memory of Robert N. Walton, a member of the Newark Memorial High School Class of 1983. Rob Walton’s family and friends wish to honor his memory by helping two graduating NMHS students attend the college of their choice.

The Robert N. Walton Scholarship is open to graduating students with plans to pursue a four-year bachelor’s degree or a two-year associate’s degree. The Robert N. Walton Education Fund aims to provide financial assistance to two graduating Newark Memorial High School students by making a one-time award of $6,000 to a student attending a four-year college or university and a one-time award of $2,000 to a student attending a two-year college.

The deadline to apply for this year’s scholarship awards is Tuesday, April 9, 2024
